IOTA, Qubic

The IOTA Foundation is working hard to position IOTA (MIOTA) as the perfect platform for the IoT market. However, for it to thrive in this market, it will need a totally different computational model. The current computational model takes up lots of energy, and is not efficient for use in tough environments, where some IoT devices will need to operate. That’s why the IOTA Foundation team is taking a different approach, and working on the Qubic Computational model. This model has its basis on the Jinn Labs project that started in 2013, as a new paradigm in hardware for new technologies like artificial technology.

The main advantage of the Qubic Computational Model is that it simplifies data flow in a computer device. Unlike traditional computing that works in binary, the Qubic model works with trinary data. The two differ in that, in binary, data is represented as 0 and 1, while in Qubic, and it is represented as -1, 0, and +1. This allows for the representation of complex data without requiring the development of more complex equipment that has a higher possibility of failure, when put under strenuous environments. To quote an excerpt from the IOTA blog,

“….this simplicity gives QCM its advantages in terms of energy efficiency and resilience (for example in harsh physical environments where complex elements are more prone to fail). But also this approach has the potential to overcome many of the major current problems in chip manufacturing (of clock skew, dark silicon, cross-talk, hazards, PVT variations and radiation susceptibility)…”

Clearly, the Qubic Computation model could open up the adoption of the IOTA tangle in virtually any environment. It creates a scenario any device can be turned into an IoT device. This is a big deal, one that should excite anyone holding IOTA (MIOTA).

That’s because, for IOTA (MIOTA) to grow, it needs some huge adoption in the IoT market. As such, when the IOTA team gets its right on the tech that could take it truly mainstream, it is a bullish signal for IOTA (MIOTA). It’s one of the signals that IOTA (MIOTA) has what it takes to make it big in the future. Besides the efficiency of the Qubic computing model, IOTA also runs on the tangle, which is much more efficient than blockchain. This further makes IOTA the perfect DLT that could transform IoT, a market that is estimated to hit upwards of $5 trillion by the year 2025. That’s a huge market that could significantly drive up the value of IOTA (MIOTA).

In fact, from a purely fundamentals perspective, IOTA (MIOTA) is one of the best cryptos to HODL.  The tech environment is getting more favorable for the rise of IoT, with the entrenchment of technologies like 5G. This is the tech that will allow for a seamless flow of data and open up the IoT space. All these are developments that make IOTA an amazing hold in the long run.
